Our Performance Troupe

The Performance Troupe consists of young and talented musicians who volunteer their time and talent by performing at public functions, with proceeds from the performances going towards the HCMP. Not only do our high quality performances raise funds for the program, but they also raise awareness of the HCMP in the community. The biographies of some of our amazing Performance Troupe volunteers are featured below.

Amy Chau

Amy Chau is a student at the University of Alberta. She completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2021 and is currently working towards the final year of her Bachelor of Music After-Degree in Piano Performance under the instruction of Dr. Viktoria Reiswich-Dapp.

Arthur Jiang

Arthur Jiang is a high school student with over 7 years of experience on piano. He is classically trained in the RCM program as well as being an avid player of jazz and popular music.

Andrew Symak

Andrew is currently a first year student at the U of A in Neuroscience. He has been surrounded by music for near-total majority of his life, and is excited to share his passion for it with others.

Ayla Morris

Ayla is a first year science student at the University of Alberta. She played the violin from ages 4-10, then started to learn and play the trombone at 12 years old. She has been playing the trombone for 6 years.

Angelina Lee

Angelina is a pianist studying under Dr. Zhenni Li-Cohen at the University of Alberta, where she is completing a Bachelor of Music after previously earning a Bachelor’s in Sociology and a diploma in Police & Investigations at a different institution.

Julia Chau

Julia Chau holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work. Julia completed her ARCT in piano performance at age 16 and is an award-winning musician at the local, provincial, and national level.

Our other performance troupe members are Madhurza Das, Julian Swartz, Nathan Swartz, David Song, Tyler Kelto, Emma Carter, Sarah Adam, and Emma Stoddart.
