Julia Chau
Julia Chau holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work. Julia completed her ARCT in piano performance at age 16 and is an award-winning musician at the local, provincial, and national level. She is a two time Canadian Music Competition National Finalist and won first place at the 2019 Alberta Provincial Music Festival.
Julia has been teaching piano since 2014 and has worked with children, adult students, and students with special needs. She has taught music and music theory in private lessons, elementary school settings, and music school settings.
Julia enjoys using her musical ability to help out in the community, and has been volunteering with the Heart of the City Music Program since 2015, where she performs music at seniors centres, hospitals, and fundraising events.
Julia is currently a hospital social worker in critical care medicine, and plays the piano in her free time.
